Today I am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. What is success? It is what everyone is longing for.Sometimes success would be rather simple. Winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; making a new friend is success; even now I am standing here giving my speech is somehow also success.
However, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes very complicated. Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is high social status success? No, I don’t think so. I believe success is the realization of people’s hopes and ideals.Nowadays, in the modern society there are many people who are regarded as the successful. And the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. So most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether it is real success. We all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. If we keep chasing them, where is the end? What will satisfy us at last? Therefore, we can see, to get the real Success we must need something inside, which is the realization of people’ hopes and ideals.
Different people have different ideas about success; cause people’s hopes and ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that I have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope.
What is success? Everyone has his own interpretation as I do. But I am sure every success leads to an ever-brighter future. So ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make a successful life! Wish you all good success!
A son and his father were walking on the mountains. Suddenly, the son falls, hurts himself and screams, "AAAhhhh!!!"To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain," AAAhhhh!" Curious, he yells," Who are you?" He receives the answer,"Who are you?" Angered at the response, he scream,"Coward!" He receives the answer,"Coward!"
He looks to his father and asks,"What's going on?" The father smiles and says,"My son, pay attention." And then he screams to the mountain, "I admire you!" The voice answers," I admire you!" Again the man screams,"You are a champion!" The voice answers,"You are a champion!" The boy is surprised, but does not understand.
Then the father explains,"People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in you team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life. Life will give you back everything you have given to it."
有一個小男孩和他的父親走在山中。突然，孩子不小心跌倒了，痛得大叫了一聲：“哎呀……”但是令他吃驚的是，他聽到了一個聲音從山中的某處傳出來，重復著他的喊聲：“哎呀……”他很好奇，大聲喊道：“你是誰?”結果他得到的回答也是：“你是誰?”小男孩聽了很生氣，大聲喊道：“膽小鬼!”結果他得到的回答也是：“膽小鬼!”他看著父親問道：“到底是怎么回事?”父親笑著說：“兒子，注意聽?！备赣H對著山大喊了一聲：“我佩服你!”結果傳回來的聲音也是：“我佩服你!”父親再一次大聲地喊：“你是冠軍!”那個聲音也回答道：“你是冠軍!”小孩子很驚訝，但是不明白其中的原因。
這時父親解釋說：“人們稱這為‘回音’，但實際上這就是‘人生’。你說的每一句話，做的每一件事都會回應到你身上。我們的人生只不過是我們所作所為的反映。如果你要這個世界有更多的愛，那么你就要在你的心中創造更多的愛;如果你想讓你的團隊更優秀，那么先讓你自己更優秀。這種關系對任何事情都是適用的，它適用于人生的方方面面。你給予人生的一切它都會回應給你?！?/p>
In the State of Zheng. There was a man who wanted to go into town to buy a pair of new shoes.
鄭國，有個人想去城里買一雙新鞋子。
Before leaving home, he measured his foot with a piece of straw for size. After he arrived at the town and entered a shoe shop, he put his hand into his pocket only to find that in his haste he had left the measurement at home. Thereupon, he turned round and started for home. But when he rushed back to the shoeshop with the measurement, the shop had closed. As a result, he had suanwenw busied himself for nothing.
他離家前先用一根稻草量了自己的腳，把他當作尺碼。他到了城里，走進鞋店，伸手摸口袋，從發現因為急著趕路，把尺碼忘在家里了。于是，他轉身就往家里跑?？墒堑人弥叽a趕回鞋店的時候，店已經關門了。結果，他白忙了一陣子，還是沒有買到鞋子。
Later, someone asked him:” Were you buying shoes for yourself or for others? ”
后來，有人問他：“你是給自己買鞋，還是給別人買鞋?”
He answered:” For myself.”
他回答說：“是給我自己。
Someone else asked him:” Don’t you have your feet on yourself? You need only to Try on shoes with your feet to get the right size. Why did you go back home to fetch the measurement? “
別人又問他：“腳不是長在你自己身上嗎?英語小短文只要用你的腳去試試鞋子的大小，不就可以了嗎?為什么還要回家去拿尺碼呢?“
The man of Zheng insisted:” I would rather trust the measurement than my own feet.”
那個鄭國人堅持說：“我寧愿相信尺碼，也不相信自己的腳?！?/p>
Life is not about just getting by. Life is about reaching ever higher, building one achievement on top of another, and creating real, meaningful value in each moment.
A common stone on the ground does a great job of just getting by. You, on the other hand, are destined1 for much more spectacular things. Yes, indeed, you will certainly meet a number of challenges when you make the effort to raise your world even a little bit higher. The good thing is, you are superbly equipped to thrive on those challenges.
If life seems unsuccessful, it’s not because of the challenges or limitations that stand in your way. It’s because you refuse to see the exceptional opportunities that those challenges represent.
This is your precious and unique life, and it is absolutely worth all the trouble and effort you must go through to make it great. Within you at this moment are beautiful dreams, and you can begin to live in the direction of those dreams whenever you choose.
Let go of the false security of just getting by, and get yourself into focus on a purpose that will bring your life gloriously to life. Your very own pathway to success is just one quick step away.

I have a few candles stored in a drawer in my dining room. They’re meant for romantic dinners and special occasions, but since the arrival of our three children they have lain unnoticed among the napkins and other things. They are waiting to be taken out and lit to share their glow with anyone who will take the time to bask in their brilliance.
Are not our souls like those candles, patiently waiting for someone to come and let us be ourselves? We are all waiting for our own moments to shine; we each have a special light, unmatched by any other.
Candles are made up of wax and a wick; we have bodies, but our essence lies in our minds and souls. Candles are unique in their colors, shapes and designs. Our life histories and experiences are the backdrops of who we are, but our minds are like candle wicks, and make our passions flame. Unlike the candles in my drawer, who get used or not used depending on my whims, we control our own thoughts, and how brightly we will burn or dimly we will shine.
Is your soul candle dimmed by circumstance or lack of passion and direction? Is it hidden in a drawer of stress, worry or resentment? Make a choice to let yourself shine the way you were meant to shine.

蠟燭由蠟狀物和蠟燭心組合而成;人類有肉體，而我們的本質卻存在于精神和靈魂中。蠟燭有它們獨一無二的顏色、形狀和圖案。我們生命的歷史和經歷是決定我們是誰的大背景，但是只有我們的心靈才是蠟燭心，使熱情形成火焰。與在抽屜里等著別人一時的興致來決定是否被點燃的蠟燭不同，我們可以決定自己的思想，決定自己能夠發光發亮還是黯淡無光。
你心中的那支蠟燭是否因環境或者缺少激情，沒有方向感而黯淡無光?它是否藏匿于壓力、擔憂和怨恨的抽屜里?做出選擇吧，以自己注定的方式去發光。
When someone looks into your eyes they should see something alive within you. Having a dream is like owning a lighthouse1 which directs you on your journey.
At every turn we come across its mystery. At each new level we become more of the person we were meant to become. In lonely times, when we pass through a storm of disappointment, we find our faith is unshaken, our strength still strong.
Believe in your faith. Set the vision before your eyes. Write down your most sincere dreams and when the opportunity comes, step into your dream. It may take one season or more, but the result is the same. Make big dreams and then go out and make them realities. The highest hopes of the dreamer are revealed with every step taken in their journey to the impossible. For a season we must protect the dream so that it can grow quietly on the inside. But if we tenderly care for our deepest expectations, slowly but surely the dream will become new life.
Dreaming is an act of faith. The light of your expectations will cast off the shadows of a disbelieving world. God has given us the dreamer as a gift to light an unbelieving world.
Find your treasure within and cherish2 it. Tomorrow is waiting for you to take the first step.
別人看你的眼睛時,他應當體會到你內心的活力。懷揣夢想就像是擁有一座引領你前行的燈塔。
每個轉折關頭,它給我們帶來奇跡。每個新的起點,我們脫胎換骨,煥然一新。孤獨中我們挺過失望的陰霾,發現我們的信念不曾動搖,我們的力量依然強大。
秉持信念,期盼未來。許下你最真誠的夢想,一旦機會來臨,就為之拼搏。也許要花一季甚或更多的時間,但結局不會改變。立大志,傾全力,成現實。前途未卜,唯有一步一個腳印,夢想者的至高希冀才會實現。我們必須珍存夢想,給它一季的保護,讓它在內心悄然生發。然而我們還得溫柔呵護我們內心至深的期許,慢慢地夢想必將成就新的生命。

a poet leads me to a branch road: on one side, there are lots of sweet apples, lovely and charming; on the other, there is a patch of thorn, what hides behind the success of struggling against the thorn is a splendid palace. i deeply know that if i choose the apples, i will give up a precious opportunity of becoming a queen; while if i choose to challenge, i have to say farewell to the apples. which one should i choose?
just like the branch road, we have to make a lot of choices during our lifetime. it is usually considered that we are choosing what to gain, to own, but in my opinion, we are just choosing to give up.
choosing to be a teacher means giving up the life as rich as a business man;
choosing to be a top student means giving up much leisure time in front of the tv.
sure, it's a torture, but we must judge carefully what is more important, then give up the others. don't think of them any more, just focus all your spirit on what you are doing.
i myself, who is standing here, have already chosen to challenge in such a great competition, so i have to give up ten days of normal classes in school and relaxation without pressure. but i am still pleased, because giving up properly makes me stick to my choice.
